In celebration of Batesville Products’ 75th anniversary, Rick Weber shares the history of BPI.

Justin Weber, president of BPI since 1967, passed on the company to his son Rick in 1989.

Rick started at BPI as a college student co-op in the engineering department. When he joined the team full-time in 1977, he worked many shop floor jobs. From there, he went into engineering and machining before working his way into mid-level management positions and eventually Vice President. Finally, Rick became president of the company in 1989.

Rick went on to have a 40+ year career at Batesville Products. He retired in 2017, passing on the company to his youngest brother Len Weber. Today, Rick is still involved in the company serving on the Board of Directors.
