Batesville Products was honored at the 25th Family and Private Business Awards by the Goering Center in Cincinnati, OH.
“Each September, the Goering Center recognizes and celebrates businesses, and Rising Leaders, who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in one or more of our 10 Best Practices of Successful Family and Private Businesses, thereby positively impacting their organizations and communities,” says the Goering Center.
This year’s theme was “Taking Care of Business,” highlighting organizational resilience and excellence. Batesville Products, Inc was selected by an independent panel of judges for its outstanding growth and continuous improvement, overcoming industry challenges.
Batesville Products also won a Goering Award in 2022 for outstanding company culture.
“The company has consistently embraced new processes, strategies, software, and robotics to stay ahead in a competitive market. This commitment to continuous improvement has been vital in navigating challenges, particularly during the past few years.
The pandemic and the resulting “Great Resignation” presented significant obstacles for BPI. Workforce shortages and supply chain disruptions strained operations. To address these challenges, BPI launched the Pay4Skill training program to enhance employee retention.
In addition to adapting its workforce strategies, BPI also invested in robotics to improve efficiency. Starting with a sawing robot in 2019, the company has since introduced four more robots to its machining and polishing processes. These innovations have reduced heavy labor, improved product quality and helped the company keep up with increased demand.
Marketing also saw a transformation at BPI. The company pivoted to digital marketing, developing a strong online presence through webinars, social media and digital advertising. This strategic shift has yielded impressive results, including a 40.3% growth from 2020 to 2023.
As Batesville Products looks to the future, it remains committed to its founding principles: adapt, innovate, and repeat. With a strong family legacy and a forward-thinking approach, BPI is well-positioned to continue its success for decades to come.”
